For the couples who dream of a relaxed celebration

More and more couples are choosing to focus on a smaller event for their wedding. When talking with my clients that chose a smaller wedding day, the common sentiment is that the couples really wanted to focus on what is most important to them, and not worry about making everyone else happy. Choosing on a smaller event allows you to spend less and still create beautiful, lasting memories

Connection & Intimacy

Freedom & Flexibility

Every wedding day comes with it’s share of small hiccups or changes. One of my favorite aspects of micro weddings are you can pivot in the blink of an eye without disrupting rigid plans. Especially if you don’t have a bridal party, you can quickly stop the car and chase the beautiful light where you see it.

Planning Your Micro Wedding

How much coverage do I need?

I am an advocate for treating your wedding day the same whether there are two guests or two hundred. What that means for photography is telling the story of your whole day. Start with your getting ready process (hair/makeup and getting dressed), followed by a first look, your ceremony then portraits of you and your spouse. If you do have a few guests in attendance, a champagne toast, cake cut or small reception may be included. In general, I recommend between 2-4 hours of photography depending on your plans and locations. Because of the unique nature of each intimate wedding, I work with you to create custom coverage options for each one of my clients.

where should we hold our micro wedding?

The biggest benefit of planning a smaller event is you can really do it anywhere! Consider Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur and Santa Cruz for your elopement in the Central Coast. Part of my micro-wedding service is help selecting the right location for your day. Here in the Monterey Area tons of couples have their dream wedding at a fraction of the cost. Most wedding venues allow elopements on weekdays and off-season- just ask! Many of my clients love the wild of the California coastline and choose to wed on the cliffs above the ocean. And don’t forget the many amazing State Parks and open spaces we have available to us.
