Asilomar Beach Family Photography

Monterey is such a family friendly destination with the Monterey Bay Aquarium, famous wharf, amazing tidepools, and beaches drawing lots of families with young children. Therefore, every year, many of my family sessions are with families visiting Monterey, Pacific Grove, and the Carmel area on vacation. Whenever I photograph a family, we discuss their ideal background. Do they want to walk barefoot on a beach? Walk through one of our many forested areas? There are so many naturally beautiful locations in Pacific Grove for your family photos, it’s hard to choose.

For this family session, we chose Asilomar Beach and boardwalk, which was sentimental to them as they visit once a year. It made for the perfect spot with their young son because the beach is wide and full of wave breaking rocks that create massive tidepool areas.
