Because Laleña and Allan were surprising the guests of their engagement party with a wedding, we had to figure out a creative way to fit in time for me to steal them away for their romantic photos at the Sonoma coast. I suggested that instead of getting up really early and heading out, we do a pre-shoot the week before the party. They loved the idea, and it was a super sweet and fun way to celebrate the upcoming surprise. They scheduled the day for the same day as Laleña’s hair and makeup trial, and it worked out beautifully.Read More
What made Malinda and Steve's wedding stand out to me was their dedication to focusing on family. From the first time we met at the venue, they expressed that family was and is the most important part of their wedding day, and they really wanted to focus on that with photography. Incorporating their family into the wedding day was easy, as they each have two children. They tasked all four kids to performing the wedding ceremony together, which was so moving and special to see.Read More
It was no surprise to anyone that knows Josh and Chris when they decided to hold their wedding celebration at an aviation museum in an airport. They met at a tech conference, and living on different continents at the time, depended on airplanes to connect them over the years. It is also a passion of theirs, with dreams to one day own their own plane.
Now if you're thinking that a museum doesn't sound like a great venue for a wedding- I hate to break it to you but you're wrong! The aviation museum at SFO has moody romantic lighting, beautiful architecture with double staircases framing the ceremony, and two airplanes suspended above. Plus, it's right next to international departures, so you can jump on a plane to your honeymoon in a flash.Read More
When Malika and Brendan asked if they could bring their pup Finn to the engagement session, I was thrilled! Who doesn't love a cute dog with mom and dad? He was such a good boy too. ;)
We planned their entire session around the blooming of lavender here in Sonoma County, to let color and nature play into their photos. During their engagement session, I got to hear the story of how they met many years ago as high school seniors touring a college. Though they didn't date then, their live kept circling around, bringing them to the same college, then the same party years later. I love learning how much couples fell in love. I'm so excited for these two to tie the knot this summer!Read More
Josh and Chris chose a sunny afternoon in the country for their engagement session to contrast their upcoming SFO Aviation Museum wedding. They happily indulged my visions by climbing a tree, forging a small river (without a spill), and hiking up a hill in formal wear. Adventure makes the ordinary extraordinary!Read More
I loved Brittany and Toby's fun-loving spirits as we explored their favorite locations in San Francisco. From their old neighborhood overlooking the skyline, to their favorite burrito in the city, we laughed our way around. Ending the day with a sunset view of the bridge was perfection. I'm so looking forward to their fall wedding!

With their love of adventure and the outdoors, the Sonoma Coast was an obvious choice for Nala and Jonathon's engagement session. Armed with cupcakes and wine we later learned we didn't have a corkscrew for, we scrambled up Bodega Head, climbed trees and laughed. A lot. I learned how they met at Cornell, love to go to music festivals, and how Nala can climb onto Jonathon's shoulders in two seconds flat to get the best view at shows.Read More
Planning a wedding from afar can be difficult, but it Molly and Christian made it easy by sticking with what is important. An intimate destination wedding of just family and their closest friends, they wed at gorgeous V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena. I loved the small touches that personalized their day- from their beautiful cake featuring the silhouette of all the cities they have traveled, to the cork details in their invitations and Molly's special Louboutin's. They were so fun and easy to work with, as they were happy to laugh and kid around during the romantics. Congratulations you two!Read More
For this spring-inspired styled shoot, vendors from the Sonoma County Wedding Collective came together to showcase their offbeat, artisan talents, with Nicki Wolfe Events + Spaces at the helm. The shoot stepped away from overplayed Spring trends, with the mood set by Northern California redwoods at The Trees in Occidental. From the beginning, we held tight to the idea of Woodsy California meets upstate New York, with our inspirational yet imaginary image of a couple of romantic cool kids taking over the family summer Cabin; coming in an dusting off the winter and ushering in the spring...Read More
I was honored to document this two day wedding over the summer. The first day was the traditional Cambodian wedding ceremonies in the grooms home. This was my first time photographing a Cambodian wedding and I LOVED it! The colors, food, ceremonies and amazing outfits. There was a beautiful blessing by monks, a hair cutting ceremony, and hand fasting, among other traditions. In between each ceremony, Samnong and Samson changed into different intricate outfits that matched their wedding parties. I really look forward to more ceremonies like this! Next I will share day 2 of this celebration, the Western ceremony and reception.Read More
